Hello - I live in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. I began playing drums age 15 and began playing drums full time in 1964. My question is 'which bands influenced the garage bands in California in the 60s?' Were the bands influenced by British bands/American bands?. I see in the photograph what looks like a British Vox guitar? I would be pleased to receive your comments. My band in the 60s was THE RUSTIKS and we were signed to THE BEATLES management. Cheers.

William-Gargage bands in california were heavily influenced by the British invasion. The Beatles, Stones, Spencer Davis Group, Dave Clark 5, The Animals and more. They were huge. I will check out the Rustiks my friend. Thanks for stopping by. Loyd The Human The Human Project.
