I am still stoked about people from 29 different countries downloading my music in August, 2019.
Some of the countries were as follows.
Argentina,Australia,Belgium,Belize,Belarus,Canada,Chile,Czechoslovakie,Denmark,Spain,Finland,Russia,France, Indonesia,Ireland,India, Japan ,Mexico,Netherlands,New Zealand, Romania, Ukraine, USA to name a few.
I will give you some info about me, a rather short condensed version.
* I started listening to music very young. Probably around 6 or 7. I lived in Columbus, GA. I liked early Elvis, Buddy Holly and all that cool cat rockabilly stuff. I struck a nerve. It sent a lightening bolt down my spine.
* When I moved to California, (early 60's) Here came The Beatles, a huge influence on me. Then the Stones. I liked soul music. Wilson Pickett. James Brown, all that funky stuff. I liked stuff with good Hammond organs so when I get in a band at 15 years old, we first had a Farfisa, then we got a Hammand (Leslie too) for my Junior year in High School. We were called. "Trans Love Airway." We played Spencer Davis, Rascals, Steppenwolf, all that stuff. My Senior year, we lost the Hammond and we went to CCR and rockin stuff. By the end of my Senior year, we were damn good for high school kids. Playing all over Central California at gigs.
*When I graduated, that was it for me. I had to go to college and I did. I really didn't pick up a guitar again much until the early 2000's, so well over 40 years without playing. In 2005 I got a Fender Strat and I started messin and writing. I got a Boss BR 1600 recorder. I wrote the entire first CD, "The Real Stuff," using this recorder. I should mention that in my early 20's I got the Nickname, "The Human." One of my friends gave it to me and it stuck. That's why is The Human Project. My good friends still call me this. No one liked music more than me, or had more of it and played it...all the time. I had a big Teac 3000 reel to reel I would take to a party loaded with rockin stuff and would just turn it on and rock the party. If you got in my car, or came to my house.... be ready to get rocked.
As mentioned, from the Boss BR 16, I had written enough songs to go into the studio and record and out of this came "The Real Stuff." The success of this, especially in Europe, was a surprise, so I recorded Human Project II, Humanize in 2008. It is now 2019 and I have kept going. My fan base slowly increases as do my sales. This is a collaborative effort between me and my fans. I have no label or management, so I market and promote all my own music. All the musicians I use are from the Central Valley of California, mostly the Fresno, Visalia area. They are good. They adapt to my songs well. I don't play live because their is no market for good original music in these parts. It has been said that this area is "a cover band town." And a fickle, cliquey one at that. I fly under the radar here even though no one can touch me with sales of music. It's fine with me, especially the older I get. I could care less about playing a 3 hour set in a funky bar. I stay in very good shape. No alcohol and I work out a lot. So, I do fight off the age and none of this affects my ability to write and record songs.
So here we are. September 2019 and I am still going. This is a real success story that you the fans are a part of.
So, just know I appreciate all that support from you. Its encouraging. It feels good. It keeps me going. Thank you very much.
We are all in this grand adventure Together.
Have a great day and weekend!
