We have made a pretty good dent into April already haven't we? Time marches on. It is trying to warm up here in Central California. But there is still some rain and even some snow in the higher elevations of the mountains for later in the week.
I put my video of my song Highway 58 here. It's a good relaxing song. I hope you have a great Sunday, and can find time to rest up some for the upcoming week. You are appreciated.
Highway 58 is from the CD "Humanize" released in the Spring of 2017. Words and Music by The Human.
It's a long stretch of Highway, It's Highway 58. Just outside of Barstow, I got feelings I can't shake. Tumbleweeds rollin, across this desolate old road. My mind's in overdrive, about to explode.
My last release, "Fadin to Gray," was released in February and was a download only one. It has finally got into all the music distribution channels and some songs from it popped into my top downloads for the month.

I write lyrics people can relate to in one way or another. I am pretty much blue collar.
I am not a major artist with a big budget. I do this all myself with your help.
You are appreciated.
I made it back from a trip to Yosemite this weekend and threw together a quick little video and of course had some Electric Coffee early Saturday morning to share with ya. Enjoy. Click the link.
Below Bridal Veil, Waterfall.
Half Dome. This is a nice little hike up the path from behind the Ahwahnee Hotel currently known as the Majestic. (A corporate take-over)
Made it to hump day, in fact almost over out here on the west coast of California. Downhill to the weekend now. I hope the week has gone good for you. If you haven't seen my You Tube Video, "Short History of the Human Project," I am putting the link here for you to check it out. It sums everything up from 2006 to pretty close to present in a nice condensed manner.
I am heading out of town Friday, but will try to get another post up and a new Podomatic Show too.
Keep it Rockin.
Keep it Rockin
Appreciate all of you.
Great response to this show! It is not featured anymore but you can access it from the link I have provided below. Detailed comments on each track.
Every so often I do a Podcast of just my music. (Human's Show on Podomatic) On this particular one, I play stuff I have recorded in my home studio. It kinda has a more raw edge to it, more organic. On most tracks I play almost all the instruments. There are a few tracks that I have had AC Myles come over and add a lead track. This has worked out well, and seems to always elevate the track. Here is a track listing of this show that has just put up. ( I usually leave for 24 hours.)
Well All Right
I play everything. I use a cardboard box for a snare drum sound and soak it in reverb. I hit a tamberine with a spoon to get that cool beat. You can hear in way over on the right channel or right speaker. I added a hot strat lead and during the lead break, I put a strat rhythm guitar that is funky and gives it a cool groove.
I did this song about 6 weeks ago. It's a Tom Petty track of his 1981 Hard Promises release. It's acoustic driven with a scorching lead guitar track provided by AC Myles. We got our mojo workin on this one.
Not Fade Away
I did this about a month ago. It's my tribute to Buddy Holly and there is a really good You Tube Video on my You Tube Page. I play everything and had AC Myles add the hot rhythm chops. Happy with the way this came out. None of these 3 tracks have been released.
Blues State of Mind
Recorded a couple of years ago and it made it onto my Fadin To Gray download only release. It's just a little diddy I was messin with. When AC came over, I had him toss a lead on it. I decided to release it.
Simply an acoustic version of my song that is on "Best of the Human Project," 2010. I like it. Very sparse.
For What It's Worth
I have always loved this song. I feel its still relevant. I recorded it a couple of years ago. AC Myles put a killer lead on it. It's on Fadin To Gray and people are already downloading it.
57 Channels (Nothin On)
From Springsteen's Human Touch Release in the early 90's. I always really like it, so I took a crack at it. I play everything. It's on Fadin To Gray.
A very trippy song about a guy who had obviously indulged and ended up in an alley that lead to a hot music scene down at the end. Just walk past the dumpster, and there is a big wooden door. Enter, and the groove begins. AC steps up with the trippy reverb soaked guitar required to help create the ambiance.
Fadin To Gray
Title Track to my last release that was an online, download one only that came out in February. This one is about have fast time goes by and how quickly we all Fade to Gray. Absolutely smokin lead guitar work by AC Myles
6 CD's and one Download only release. One of the top selling artists in the Central Valley of California.
Blues Hall of Fame Inductee in 2010.
It's a full blown weekend now. Hope you enjoy it. The weather is unstable here, could rain some and unseasonably cool again. All of us that live in the Central Valley of California know that the heat is just around the corner. You know, the 100 + stuff. So, we will take what we got right now.
Today I will get serious with "Well Allright," to see if I can get it to come together. I have made several stabs at it and they have left me not satisfied. But these attempts have me with a plan now to get it done.
The Yahama F450 is the core driving source of the song. I am then gonna add in bass and scratch vocal. I am not sure if the Strat is gonna get used. I have a form of a kick drum and snare I will add along with some shakers. I will get it warm and funky. I could send it to AC Myles if I feel like his expertise is needed. What I like about the track is the raw sound. It's cool I think you will like if I can bring it all together.
Raw Human Project, 2013. A tight and lethal unit. This was the last gig I did. Fresno is a cover song good ole boy town.
