It's back to Monday again. It rolls around fast. Have been to Texas and back. That's how fast it rolls.
I made a little YouTube with some updates. I ran across an old Elvis song that I really liked, so I have been messin with it. When Elvis got in the right groove he could really rock. Especially in the earlier days. I am providing the link to the update video and you can hear a partial version of the song playing in the background.
Heat is still on...stay cool.
Ran into a Texas Irishman at O'Briens in San Antonio.
I made it back from trip to Texas. Operative word was hot. Blazing hot. Add in Humidity for a little spice.
Spent a couple of days in San Antonio. Loved it. But again. HOT.
Will get back to the music as soon as I shake the jet lag. Hoping I can get a new "Human's Show," up tomorrow on my podcast. Will try and get back to playing and recording some too. I hope the urge strikes me soon. Here are a few pics from San Antonio. Keep rockin and thanks for your support and patience.
Remember the Alamo! :)
Back side of the Alamo, a little monument to Jim Bowie.
Yep. Heat was Brutal, but San Antone is a cool city.
I will be gone about a week. Going to Texas. All of my family is from there. I will see my 91 year old Aunt who has all kinds of history about our family. Will end up in San Antonio for a couple of days before flying back home. I put up a Rockin Podcast this morning, so be sure and check that bad boy out. Thanks for all your support, none of this happens without you.
Here is the Podcast link. Become a follower there and you get automatic notifications when a new show is put up.
My Grandpa and Grandma. They are buried in the Peerless Cemetery close to Posey. The biggest town close to it is Sulphur Springs.
My dad went to HS in Sulphur Springs. He was only able to attend 2 years because he had to work to keep the family from damn near starving during very hard times. He graduated and attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
No matter how you dice it or slice it, its Friday and here comes the weekend. I am laying relatively low with the music although I have some "good stuff," in the can. :) I will get back to it when the mood strikes me and that is something you just can't force. Or it will sound forced.
I have hosted Human's Show on Podomatic for 9 years. I am not a pro at it by any stretch and don't want to be. I just like to turn people on to good music. All the stuff I play is from my personal collection. Over the years the show has grown and gained more and more of an international audience.
Here are some of the top markets in the USA that listen on a regular basis:
Cleveland, Fresno, Dallas, Tampa, St. Louis, Denver, New Orleans, Wichita, Chicago, Washington DC, Charlotte, Seattle, Philadelphia.
The international audience is good ranging from The USA to Canada to Russia to the UK to many countries in Europe. Does this help me with my own music? Hell yeah. That's why I always say, Human Project Music is International.

I received this in 2010. I was nominated by a musician from Louisiana. My first 2 CD's were entirely original music. They got peoples attention. Except for around my neck of the woods. They aren't even aware of it. It's fine with me. I just keep doin what I do. It has worked out pretty good so far. I am grateful to all of you for you support. I always say Human Project fans are the best.
I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Jerry Leal. He owned Pyramid Studio here in Fresno, CA. I did my CD "Humanized" with him in 2017. I had not talked nor seen him in sometime. I got a call from someone wanting the number to his studio, so I gave it to them. He called me last night and told me that he had passed away from Pancreatic Cancer. Again, very shocking....I had no idea. I loved working with Jerry. He was professional and easy to work with. A great Engineer. My condolences to his wife Sharon and to his family.

Human's Show Podomatic
I did a good show of just my music on my Podcast, "Human's Show." If you like Human Project Music, you will dig this show. It's a good blend of my music from 2006 to the present. I pick all the songs of course. Here is the link.
I appreciate my fan base, an international one. Small but mighty. Sometimes I feel some momentum building. I am pretty damn intuitive. Thanks for that.
For July 2019, 33 different Human Project Tracks were downloaded. 28 were written by The Human, aka Loyd Vandergriff. There were over 200 total downloads, a bit of an off month but that stuff happens. My new single, "Not Fade Away," has not got into the system yet and it should show up next month to re-energize things.
