Accidental New Track huh? How does that work? Well..sometimes I just get messin in my home studio. What caused the messin this time was I had listened to Springsteen's "57 Channels." I have always liked it. So I started noodling around with it. Finally decided to put down an acoustic track to see what it sounded like. I dug the groove is was gettin. Kept messin. Added a bass track. Added another electric guitar rhythm track. Then shakers. Then congas. It kept building and progressing. Put down vocal. Then I added the harmonica track. Keep messin with da mix. Finally........I felt like I had it. But no..more remixing etc. Then after two days. I had it. I am very happy with it to the point I might add it to the new release even if it delays the release a little. I am putting the link to a youtube video I made to go with it. It's raw, organic and incendiary. :) Meant to be cranked!

I have had my Uncle's 1947 Martin acoustic guitar for years. It has really been unplayable. More of a relic of the past than anything else. I had heard about a place that does a good job restoring old guitars so I took it in. (JT's music Clovis, CA. Dan) It took them a month, but they worked miracles on it! And the tone! Not sure today's Martin's sound like this bad boy. I am putting a couple of pics for you to check out.
Restored Martin on the left, next to my Yamaha F450. I am in high cotton now, can't wait to use the Martin in the studio.
I hope things are shaping up for a nice Christmas for ya. Wishing you peace and love.
I am in the process of getting this new release, Fadin to Grey, "ready." It is a process to get all the information to CDBaby. They will make the download available to the general public and will distribute it to all the major music sites like Spotify and Itunes etc. This morning I got all 9 tracks loaded into their system. This is a big part of getting this project ready.
You can see a partial track listing and that I have got the songs uploaded. In the left hand column, you can see other information they want. They will get it. I am not new to this. Again, mid-January, Fadin to Grey will be available for download. The first new Human Project Album in 1 1/2 years. Download it into yo phone and crank it up.
Wearin my T shirt from the Rum Boogie cafe in Memphis while in Hawaii. That grey hair is why I am calling my new release, "Fadin to Grey." :)
The Human plays Fender. Fits his sound.
I made it through another birthday. Starting to get up there, that's why my new release will be called, "Fadin To Grey." But with age comes many life experiences. Included with this is the fact of how much music I have listened to over the decades. This all gets incorporated into my music. It lets me write the type of songs I write. I draw alot from the past and it becomes part of "The Human," sound. I have decided to add one more track to the new January release. I will add a recent version of Vicodin Blues done in my home studio. It is a more stripped down acoustic driven version of my 2011 version on "Last Train Out." It features AC Myles on lead guitar. I dig this version and will simply call it "Vicodin Blues 2019." This will get the release 9 tracks.
AC Myles is on at least 5 tracks on the new release. One of Fresno's finest and one of the better players on the West Coast. He adds flavor and style to the new release. Much of it was recorded in my home studio. No worries. It gives it a more home grown organic feel, not the overly compressed digital BS you get today from the major studio's today. It just a wall of sound. Not my release. You will dig it.
About 8 days left until Christmas! Are ya ready?

Promo Video for "Fade to Grey." January 2019.
Keep Rockin Human Project Fans.
I now have all 8 tracks ready to upload into the CDbaby system. They will create a "digital album," that can be downloaded in its entirety or just individual tracks you might prefer. The album is designed to flow and let you get a real sense of what I was trying to do with this particular release, so for the real fans, I recommend downloading the album. It can flow right into your phone or Ipad or any other device you might use. CDbaby will also distribute the album to other major distribution sites likes spotify, ITunes, Apple Music, etc. I will upload the tracks right after the first of the year and release the album mid to late January 2019. The title of the Album is "Fade to Gray," That is me for sure. I consider myself lucky to be still doing this. To be creative and vital. The song is a reminder to all of us of how fast time goes by, and in the blink of an eye, we all Fade to Gray. I am very grateful to Human Project fans for finding me and supporting my music. Without a doubt, you keep me doing this.
Human Project Music has an international audience. The fans are the best!
