Made it back in last light after drive all the way to Mammoth Lakes 8.600 feet up in the Eastern Sierra's of California. The drive up Hwy 385 is spectacular, starting with Red Rock Canyon State park and especially when you begin to enter Lone Pine, CA. This is the home of the famous Alabama Hills where all the westerns back in the day were filmed.

Check out Yellow flowers.
Up Highway 395. This is on the "other side" of Sierra's from Yosemite. But ya gotta go all the way around and up to get to it because roads though Yosemite (hwy 120) closed. So, about a 380 mile drive.
Very popular cafe in Lone Pine, CA. Right behind it. The famous "Alabama Hills." A geographical wonder and site of hundreds of movie sets back in the day to present. Especially old Westerns.
This museum in Lone Pine a treasure trove of old western history that was all filmed around the Alabama Hills.
Part of the Alabama Hills. Note the rock formations. The snow capped mountains in background appear in many movies.
Will post a few more pics of the Mammoth Lake area later. Hope everyone has been good. And things will get back to rockin soon also. :)
The hotel actually has a computer in a little business center, so I will update while drinking coffee. I am traveling on Highway 58, (yeah same road in my song exactly) In Tehachapi, CA right now. Will head east to Highway 395 and head up that way through lots of cool terrain and geography. Mountainous. Some of these areas were used to make western movies back in the day. Lots of good camping and trails. Will end up at Mammoth Lake. Will try to make video when I get back similar to the one I make about Yosemite. I also changed my podcast show. I can't do that from my phone. I can't post pics from this computer. Everyone take it slow. Smell the roses. Appreciate ya as friends and fans.
I hope everyone has a great rest of this weekend. I am heading out again until Wednesday. My podcast, "Human's Show," is doing well. I am giving you the link to it. If you want to subscribe you will get email notifications of when I put up a new show. I play all kinds of different stuff including some of my own stuff of course. The show currently up is "Ridin This Train," which is all my music that I have pulled from various CD's I have done over the years. Go check it out! I appreciate all of you. Human Project fans are a small, but mighty little army.
The people that do these podcasts are all professional DJ's. Not me man. I just pull stuff from my personal collection and play it. It's all rough around the edges, but it seems to work. I have been around music longer than most and I share some of this with ya too.
Human Project music is good lyrics and good grooves.
For a couple of days I worked on this song, "Let's All Come Together." Sometimes when the political environment gets as highly charged as it is now, you just need to break it down to basics. That's what this song and video does. Click the link and enjoy.
A Powerful Symbol of who and what we are.
This song with link to video will be up soon.
Monday again already. I decided to work on a peace and love song straight from the 60's playbook. In this bitter, mean spirited country and world we live in I think we could use a good injection of the spirit of the 60's. The song or lyrics do not take sides at all but just emphasizes we are all one. So why not try and act like it more? And don't say, well if they would I would. Mercy. It starts with YOU. It starts with Me. Should have it ready this week. That's it for this Monday. Have a good day and week.
